Grumpy Al was very slow to begin, 3 lengths.
Darnum Bolt visibly eased approaching the winning post.
Grumpy Al underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury and a left track leg injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Darnum Bolt underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist sprain and a right triangle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Peter Handley regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Darnum Bolt was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Handley pleaded not guilty to the charge, Darnum Bolt was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
