Orson King was very slow to begin (10L).
Forgot To Tap clipped the heels of Seize Possession on the first turn severely checking Forgot To Tap. Mischief Lass, Seize Possession and Hailey Lainey collided approaching the home turn checking Mischief Lass and Seize Possession. Cosmetic Rose and Hailey Lainey collided on the home turn. Mischief Lass and Cosmetic Rose collided entering the home straight. Forgot To Tap and Seize Possession collided entering the home straight. Mischief Lass, Cosmetic Rose and Smug Doug collided approaching the winning post checking Cosmetic Rose.
Stewards questioned Adele Powel (Blitzen Vixen) and Donald McDonald (Seize Possession) regarding an alleged incident prior to the running of this event. Ms Powell and Mr McDonald were subsequently each issued a warning under GAR86(q) for the manner in which they conducted themselves towards each other whilst handling their greyhounds prior to this event.
Orson King underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.
A post-race sample was taken from Blitzen Vixen - winner of the event.
