Steward's Report
Gold Skulltula was quick to begin.
Devel Sixteen and Nikoli Bale collided soon after the start. Gypsy Bun and Aston Fastnet collided soon after the start. Nikoli Bale and Lala Kiwi collided on the first turn checking Lala Kiwi. Weblec Ranger and Aston Fastnet collided on the first turn checking Aston Fastnet. Nikoli Bale galloped on Devel Sixteen on the third turn checking Nikoli Bale and severely checking Devel Sixteen. Weblec Ranger checked off Devel Sixteen on the third turn.
Trainer Jason Thompson advised stewards that he was dissaponted with Aston Fastnet's performance in tonight's event and expected a more forward showing after trialling positively recently. Mr Thompson further advised Aston Fastnet would undergo a veterinary examination the following day and will provide the report back to stewards. Update 12/11/21: Trainer Jason Thompson reported Aston Fastnet had undergone a preliminary veterinary examination today and will follow recommendation to undergo a CT scan of the right hock with results to be provided to the stewards. Update 1/12/21: Trainer Jason Thompson reported CT Scans had a revealed a fracture of the right hock and would undergo surgery. A vet certificate of fitness is required prior to any future nomination.
A post-race sample was taken from Hebridean Black (1st) and Lala Kiwi (2nd).
