Big Cohuna and Blazin' Fury collided soon after the start. Fernando Bubbles and Still Got Time collided at the 300m mark. Ishmy Neecy and Blazin' Fury collided approaching the 250m mark checking both greyhounds.

Colossal Fire and Eric Garfield collided soon after the start. Fernando Louise faltered and tailed off at the 300m mark. Gold Giselle and Mumma's Bear collided at the 250m mark.

Fernando Louise underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to be dehydrated. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Paul Cusack, the trainer of Fernando Louise, regarding its performance throughout this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Fernando Louise must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Braemar Brianna and Mt. View Dodger were quick to begin.

Braemar Brianna, Al's Draw Four and Need A Jockey collided approaching the 225m mark checking Al's Draw Four and Need A Jockey. Battling Baz checked off Mt. View Dodger at the 200m mark. Tom For Shaw crossed to the rail at the 150m mark and collided with Braemar Brianna, checking Tom For Shaw. 

Battling Baz - Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 52. 

Tinker China was quick to begin.

Make A Pat, Fireball Frank and Rogue Temptation collided at the 250m mark checking Rogue Temptation. Warm Beer, Blackzin Prince and Rogue Temptation collided at the 225m mark checking Rogue Temptation. Fireball Frank crossed in at the 200m mark and collided with Make A Pat. Make A pat crossed out at the 150m mark and collided with Fireball Frank, checking Fireball Frank. Fireball Frank crossed in at the 50m mark and collided with Make A Pat checking both greyhounds. Fireball Frank marred Make A Pat throughout the event.

Fireball Frank underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left shin and right triangle muscle. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Dylan Bate, the Trainer of Fireball Frank, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners throughout the event. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1), Fireball Frank was charged with marring. Mr. Bate pleaded guilty to the charge and Fireball Frank was suspended for 3 months at All Tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted. Connections further advised Stewards that the greyhound is likely to be retired.
