Steward's Report
Twilight Connie was slow to begin.
All Inn Opal, Charmed, Off Centre and Tumbarumba Time collided approaching the first turn, checking all four greyhounds. All Inn Opal and Twilight Connie collided appraoching the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Our Flying Bolt and Off Centre collided several times on the home turn. Tumbarumba Time turned it's head outwards and raced wide entering the home straight. Off Centre and Tumbarumba Time collided in the home straight, checking both greyhounds.
Tumbarumba Time underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a left chest injury and a right groin injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Ian Beattie regarding the racing manners of Tumbarumba Time entering the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr Beattie, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
