Steward's Report
Wisdom and Market Bob was quick to begin. Proven Blazer and All Inn Mia collided soon after the start checking Proven Blazer. Mini Thunder, Market Bob, Knock An Scratch and All Inn Mia collided on the first turn checking Mini Thunder, Market Bob, Knock An Scratch and Proven Blazer. Mini Thunder, Market Bob and Knock An Scratch collided approaching the home turn checking all three greyhounds. Mini Thunder visibly eased and turned its head outwards towards Knock An Scratch approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Wisdom and Maverick Sandy collided in the home straight.
Mini Thunder underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 4. Mini Thunder was found to have an injury to the left monkey muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Representative, Mr A. Debattista regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Mini Thunder was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Debattista pleaded guilty to the charge, Mini Thunder was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted
