Steward's Report
Zipping Pietra, Chasing Honey and Zipping Pistol collided approaching the first turn severely checking Chasing Honey. Irongate, Blueberry Hill and Naymar Junior coollided on the first turn serverely checking Blueberry Hill which tailed off. Irongate clipped the heels of Oh Suzie on the home turn. Zipping Pietra and Irongate collided on the home turn.
Chasing Honey underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have split webbing to the left hind paw and a laceration to the left for limb. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Blueberry Hill underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left pencil muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Faye Wilkinson, the Trainer of Blueberry Hill regarding the greyhound's injury. In accordance with GAR 75 (1), the Stewards requested Ms Wilkinson to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Blueberry Hill in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event. Ms Wilkinson subsequently advised that the greyhound had developed a torn monkey muscle and was receiving relevant veterinary care.
