Steward's Report

Essential persons (both staff & participants) attending today, provided satisfactory evidence of vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination (workers) directions, undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, observed social distance requirements, and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Chasing The Edge and Nifty Bale were very slow to begin (3L).

Joyous Hope and Mountain Stew collided approaching the first turn checking Mountain Stew. Mountain Stew, Rival Wiggy and Hachey Boy collided on the first turn. Mountain Stew raced wide from the home turn to the home straight severely checking Hachey Boy and causing Hachey Boy to race wide. Hill Top turned it's head inwards and visibly eased in the home straight.

Mountain Stew underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

Hill Top underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a small spike wound to the left hind toes.
