Trainer Mr. Frank Meyer was fined $50.00 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Rocky Strike, pursuant to GAR 33(4).
Chanko Girl was quick to begin. Brindle Fire was slow to begin.
Brindle Fire and Wishly Bale collided approaching the first turn. Crown Sebon checked off Zipping Slade on the first turn. Chanko Girl and Falconetti collided on the first turn. Brindel Fire and Rocky Strike collided on the first turn, checking Rocky Strike and Falconetti. Seabrook Short and Chanko Girl collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight. Chanko Girl raced ungenerously in the home straight.
Chanko Girl underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Tolson regarding the racing manners of Chanko Girl in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr. Tolson, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
