Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Just Rambling.
El Cazador was slow to begin. People Get Ready and Just Rambling collided several times from soon after the start to approaching the first turn checking People Get Ready. El Cazador and Tsar Bell collided on the first turn severely checking Tsar Bell which faltered as a result. Tsar Bell and People Get Ready collided on the first turn. Tsar Bell raced wide in the home straight.
Tsar Bell underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right monkey muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms Nicole Lund, the trainer of Tsar Bell regarding the greyhounds performance. After hearing evidence from Ms Lund, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, in accordance with GAR 75 (1), the Stewards requested Ms Lund to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Tsar Bell in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
Supplementary report 06/10/21- Ms Nicole Lund reported to stewards that Tsar Bell was examined by Sandown Veterinary clinic and was found to have a torn triangle muscle injury.
