Steward's Report
Miss Button was quick to begin. Crymelon Quick was slow to begin.
Natalia Lee and Huntly Flyer collided soon after the start. Myola Frost and Wood Burn collided soon after the start, checking Myola Frost. Stalking Shadow and President Peggy collided approaching the first turn. Huntly Flyer checked off President Peggy approaching the first turn, checking President Peggy; causing Natalia Lee, Myola Forst and President Peggy to collide; President Peggy fell as a result, checking Crymelon Quick. Wood Burn checked off Miss Button approaching the home turn.
President Peggy underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg monkey muscle injury. A seven day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Lewis Green regarding the racing manners of Natalia Lee in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr Green, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
