A pre-race sample was taken from Masani Bale.
Oddball Armo was slow to begin.
Princess Warrior and Pyrenees Pegasus collided soon after the start checking Tiggerlong Red. Pyrenees Pegasus, Rupert's Boy, Hugs And Kisses and Tiggerlong Red collided approaching the first turn checking Rupert's Boy. Hugs and Kisses checked off Ripper Roxy on the first turn. Oddball Armo checked off Rupert's Boy approaching the home turn.
Tiggerlong Red underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and found to have a spike wound to the right front foot. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Ripper Roxy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left carpal sprain. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Kevin Ross regarding the undue delay in boxing Rupert's Boy in this event. A warning was issued to Mr. Ross pursuant to GAR 51(9).
