Zheng was slow to begin. Lakeview Cruiser and Over Talking collided approaching the first turn checking Over Talking. Run Robyn Run, No Talking and Lakeview Cruiser collided on the first turn checking Lakeview Cruiser. State The Facts and Hook Along Book collided on the first turn checking Hook Along Book. Zheng, Run Robyn Run, Lakeview Cruiser and My Mate Damien collided on the home turn checking all four greyhounds. Lakeview Cruiser and Zheng collided in the home straight.
Hook Along Book underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind foot. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
