A pre–race sample was taken from Golden Hands.
Anita Sonic Love was slow to begin. Krakatoan went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.
Blazing Beast post–race lameness, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg triangle injury. A seven day stand down period was imposed.

Out of competition samples were taken from Orson Leigh and Impactus on Wednesday, 29 June 2022 pursuant to GAR 139.
Tinker Fran marred Immense in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg hamstring injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Craig Burns, the representative of Tinker Fran regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Tinker Fran was charged with marring. Mr Burns pleaded not guilty to the charge, Tinker Fran was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stay Together suffered interference and fell after turning off the back straight (250m), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg radiu/ulna fracture. Stay Together was humanely euthanised.
Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track at the 250m mark and deemed it satisfactory for racing.
