Steward's Report

Aston Lavinia was quick to begin.

Aston Lavinia underwent a post-race veterinary examination after marring Alfie Alligator in the home straight and was found to have abrasions to the right-hindleg. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr. Jason Sharp regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Aston Lavinia was charged with marring. Mr. Sharp pleaded not guilty to the charge, Aston Lavinia was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown Park and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127 and GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from Jax Bale - the winner of the event.
