Steward's Report
Due to Pinjarra Harness being postponed the start of this event was rescheduled to 2:53pm.
Hurricane Max was quick to begin.
Johari turned it's head inwards in the home straight. Johari underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hamstring injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Damian Meade, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Johari was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Meade pleaded guilty to the charge, Johari was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Hurricane Max underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the Trainer and was found to have injuries to the right wrist, right chest and left hock. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
