Steward's Report
A pre–race sample was taken from Road To Cairns.
Due to Running Gear escaping at the starting boxes all greyhounds were vetted and passed fit to race.
Double Up was slow to begin.
Running Gear – Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 106.
Stewards issued a fine pursuant to GAR 81(1) to Mr William Lamb, after the greyhound Running Gear escaped the handler at the boxes prior to the running of this race. The start of the race was delayed by three minutes. After hearing submissions from Mr Lamb, Mr Lamb was fined $100 in accordance with GAR 81(1).

Trial One:
Lucky Blonde – Six Months – Solo, Distance 385m, Weight 27.9kg, Box 1, Placed 1st, Time Run 23.50. Lucky Blonde – Comment: Cleared All Tracks.

Trial Two:
Kraken Pearler – Marring – Field of four, Distance 385m, Weight 29.2kg, Box 2, Placed 1st, Time Run 21.741. Dundas Houdini – Comment: Cleared All Tracks except Sandown.
Dundas Houdini – Blinkers Off – Field of four, Distance 385m, Weight 29.3kg, Box 4, Tailed Off, Time Run 23.67. Dundas Houdini – Comment: Not Cleared to race without Blinkers was greyhound tailed off.
Dundas Houdini underwent a post–trial veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle and right triangle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
