Rebel May Road was slow to begin.
Crowdza Back underwent a post race veterinary examination due to a severe check and subsequent fall turning out of the back straight, no apparent injury could be detected.
Crowdza Blest underwent a post race veterinary examination due to racing manners in the home straight, which revealed minor abrasions to the right dew claw. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to handler Kathleen Newport regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Crowdza Blest was charged with failing to pursue by reason of injury. Ms. Newport pleaded guilty to the charge, and Crowdza Blest was suspended at Sandown Park and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125 and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
