Flying Torpedo and Mr. Prime Minter collided soon after the start checking Flying Torpedo. My Name's Nipper visibly eased approaching the first turn. Mr. Prime MInter checked off Hugs And Kisses on the first turn. Hugs And Kisses checked off Yulong Yap approaching the home turn and raced wide as a result.

My Name's Nipper underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-vetted after race 5. My Name's Nipper was found to have a right deltoid muscle injury and a right hamstrings injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. Rodney Clark regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), My Name's Nipper was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Clark pleaded guilty to the charge, My Name's Nipper was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr Colin Dalton, the Trainer of Mazikeen Smith, as some noticeable betting fluctuations were noted by Stewards.  Mr. Dalton told the Stewards that this was the first time the greyhound was drawn on the rails and expected a forward showing today given the small field.  Mr. Dalton also advised that he supported the greyhound in trifectas only.  Stewards directed a post race sample be taken from Mazikeen Smith, the winner of the Event.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Raymond Henness, the Trainer of Yulong Yap, as some noticeable betting fluctuations were noted by Stewards.  Mr. Henness told the Stewards that he expected a forward showing today given that there were two boxes vacant on the inside of the greyhound.  Mr. Henness also told Stewards that he supported the greyhound each way.  Stewards directed a post race sample be taken from Yulong Yap, which finished in second position.
