The start of this event was delayed approximately 1 minute due to Singapore Thoroughbreds race 2 running behind schedule.

My Envy, Calypso Princess, Forever A Dream and Ambushed collided approaching the first turn checking all four greyhounds. My Envy and Calypso Princess collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Many Ways, Mepunga Mantra and Raichu collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Many Ways and Ambushed collided on the third turn checking both greyhounds.

Weblec Raider and Rippin' Memphis were quick to begin.

Rippin' Memphis and Nikoli Bale collided soon after the start. Nikoli Bale, Overflow Lisa, Dawn Spirit and Midday Snooze collided on the first turn checking Overflow Lisa, Dawn Spirit and Midday Snooze. Dawn Spirit checked off Midday Snooze on the second turn. Dundee Ember galloped on the heels of Rippin' Memphis in the back straight checking Rippin' Memphis. Midday Snooze checked off Overflow Lisa on the third turn.

Scary Too and Foxtrot Tango were slow to begin.

Starlight Dusty, Cayden Bale and Gunnadoo Grace collided soon after the start. Starlight Dusty, Zambora Alani, Jazz Icon, Scary Too, Wilson's Way and Foxtrot Tango collided on the first turn checking Zambora Alani, Jazz Icon, Scary Too, Wilson's Way and Foxtrot Tango. Zambora Alani and Jazz Icon collided approaching the second turn checking Jazz Icon.

A post-race sample was taken from Starlight Dusty - the winner of the event.

Nine Nine and Crabby Yabby collided approaching the first turn checking Nine Nine. Retro Rocket and Bell Burner collided on the first turn causing Bell Burner to fall, checking Nine Nine. Basin Betty and Steamer Redeemer collided on the first turn. Basin Betty, Steamer Redeemer and Weblec Gem collided on the home turn checking Retro Rocket and Steamer Redeemer. 

Bell Burner underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right sesamoid injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr J. Shaw regarding the boxing of Nine Nine in this event. After hearing evidence from Mr Shaw and the Steward at the start it was established that the greyhound Nine Nine was inadvertently placed in the incorrect starting box prior to the greyhound being repositioned into the correct starting box. After considering the evidence presented, the fact that the start was not delayed and Mr Shaw's offence record, a warning was issued for his negligence pursuant to GAR 86(o). 

So Predictable was slow to begin.

Father Phevos and It's My Party collided on the first turn. Father Phevos and So Predictable collided on the third turn.

Luxury Rocks and Kalbarri collided soon after the start. Grey Not Blue, Luxury Rocks and Kalbarri collided soon after the start. Trust I Seek, Luxury Rocks and Kalbarri collided on the first turn checking Trust I Seek, Luxury Rocks and Cool Limit. My Wanderer marred Grey Not Blue in the home straight checking Kalbarri.

My Wanderer underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr D. Kerr regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) My Wanderer was charged with marring. Mr Kerr pleaded not guilty to the charge, My Wanderer was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
