Essential persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, observed social distance requirements, and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Acting in accordance with GAR 37 (1), Stewards conducted a kennelling veterinary examination on the majority of greyhounds engaged in todays race meeting until the arrival of the GRV on-course veterinarian.

Trickity Click was very slow to begin - 4 lengths.

Custom Roof faltered at the 150m mark.

Custom Roof underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left monkey muscle and left pectoral muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Shelly-Ann Warde, the trainer of Custom Roof regarding. In accordance with GAR 75 (1), the Stewards requested Ms Warde to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Custom Roof in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event. 

Trickity Click underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

A post-race sample was taken from More Speed - the winner of the event.

Braemar Prince and Que Up collided soon after the start. Braemar Prince, Que Up and Sharky Shark collided soon after the start. Braemar Prince and Que Up collided at the 250m mark. Sharky Shark and Billy Tirch collided at the 150m mark.

Pursuant to GAR 104 (7) Steward, Mr. Jamie Allan did not act in any official capacity for this event.

Aston Bier and Wake Up Dusty collided soon after the start. Wladmir, Weblec Cruiser and Tom For Shaw collided soon after the start. Charlie's Junior crossed to the inside at the 300m mark. Minter Explode crossed to the outside at the 300m mark. Aston Bier and Wake Up Dusty collided approaching the 275m mark. Wladmir and Tom For Shaw collided at the 150m mark. Aston Bier and Wake Up Dusty collided several times from the 100m mark to the 50m mark.

Apollo One, Double On Ice, Weblec Wave, Fleetwood Sam and Combat Mission collided soon after the start. Apollo One, Double On Ice and Combat Mission collided soon after the start. Wiggle It Bart checked off Carraragarmungee approaching the 200m mark. Blue Spot and Apollo One collided approaching the winning post.

Aston Merit, Deep Witts and Nike Apache were slow to begin.

Dr. Slats and Earthworm Jim collided soon after the start. Nike Apache checked off Deep Witts approaching the 250m mark. Earthworm Jim and Nike Apache collided several times from the 250m mark to the 200m mark checking both greyhounds.

Western Blazer underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Craig Solkhon regarding the racing manners of Western Blazer. After hearing evidence from Mr Solkhon, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.

A post-race sample was taken from Aston Merit - the winner of the event.

Exhibition Trial:

An out of competition sample was taken from Shavano on 27/08/21 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Weblec Flare - New declared weight of 31.3kg, last raced at 30.1kg.

Derry Express and Aston Champagne collided at the 300m mark. Mepunga Reject and Zipping Hunter collided at the 300m mark. Mepunga Reject visibily eased approaching the winning post.

Mepunga Reject underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right quadriceps. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to handler, Ms Lori Courts regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Mepunga Reject was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Courts pleaded guilty to the charge, Mepunga Reject was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

An out of competition sample was taken from Smart As Jack on 26/8/2021 pursuant to GAR 79A.

An out of competition sample was taken from  Hadouken, Zambora Lou, Utah Ghost, Mr. America, Ferdinand Boy, Dream Wizard, Weblec Blazer, Green Blazer and Shavano on 27/8/2021 pursuant to GAR 79A.

The official times for the The Arrow events were determined with the use of the judge's photo finish system, not the on-track timing beams.
