Steward's Report
Aston Merit, Deep Witts and Nike Apache were slow to begin.
Dr. Slats and Earthworm Jim collided soon after the start. Nike Apache checked off Deep Witts approaching the 250m mark. Earthworm Jim and Nike Apache collided several times from the 250m mark to the 200m mark checking both greyhounds.
Western Blazer underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Craig Solkhon regarding the racing manners of Western Blazer. After hearing evidence from Mr Solkhon, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.
A post-race sample was taken from Aston Merit - the winner of the event.
