The start of this event was delayed approximately one minute due to Wagga thoroughbreds race 4 running behind schedule.

Dash Of Reyne was quick to begin.  Fly For Trix was slow to begin.

Mepunga Katie and More Deductions collided approaching the first turn.  Dash Of Reyne, Arizona Gold and Fly For Trix collided approaching the third turn checking Arizona Gold.  Spring Driven raced wide on the third turn.

Mepunga Knight was quick to begin.  Tyler Durden and Got The Torque were slow to begin.

Weblec Scout checked off Daph's Zac and collided with Fabriola Zad, Tyler Durden and Got The Torque on the first turn checking Tyler Durden.  Mepunga Knight checked off Daph's Ascend on the second turn.  Weblec Scout and Colden Dayto collided in the back straight.  Mepunga Knight and Weblec Scout collided on the home turn. Mepunga Knight and Tyler Durden collided entering the home straight.

Mepunga Knight underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right hind hock.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed. 

Colden Dayto underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have lost/torn nails to the left front and hind feet.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr. Speaker and Kenny The Brute collided on the first turn checking Kenny The Brute.  Pilbara and Kenny The Brute collided on the third turn.  Kenny the Brute galloped on Mr. Speaker approaching the fifth turn severely checking Mr. Speaker.

Up The Amount was quick to begin.  Malayah Bale was slow to begin.

Kinson Bale and Aston Alpha collided soon after the start.  Radek Bale, Kinson Bale, Up The Amount and Mepunga Maggie collided on the first turn checking Kinson Bale and severely checking Up The Amount, who as a result failed to finish. Aston Alpha and Up The Amount collided on the first turn checking Aston Alpha and Floral Lace.  Kinson Bale and Aston Alpha collided approaching the fourth turn.  Kinson Bale, Aston Alpha and Floral Lace collided on the fourth turn checking Kinson Bale.

Up The Amount underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed. 

Wedding Or Baby - Acting on a confirmed telephone call with Trainer Mr D. Burnett the greyhound was declared a late scratching at 1.38pm. Mr Burnett advised that the greyhound had diarrhoea.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Denise's Vision and Dr. Xander were quick to begin.

Call Me Buster and Fractured collided soon after the start.  Nihari Bale crossed in soon after the start checking Well Grounded and Call Me Buster.  Denise's Vision and Dr. Xander collided on the first turn.  Call Me Buster and Nihari Bale collided on the first turn.  Nihari Bale and He Shall Rodger collided on the home turn.  Denise's Vision, Well Grounded and Call Me Buster collided on the home turn checking Denise's Vision. Nihari Bale and He Shall Rodger collided on the home turn. 

Gintoki Bale was slow to begin.

Xavien Bale, Jayville Slick and Nikoli Bale collided on the first turn.  Jayville Slick and Weblec Eagle collided on the first turn and again on the third turn.  Xavien Bale and Jayville Slick collided on the fourth turn.  Spring Cobra and Gintoki Bale collided approaching the winning post.  

Xavien Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards discussed the performance of the greyhound with Kennel Representative Ms. Callie Wilson. Ms. Wilson advised Stewards of her belief that the greyhound, who was up in distance for the first time today, did not appropriately handle the trip but will however be better for the run. Stewards accepted this explanation and no further action was taken.

Jax Bale was quick to begin.

Riccarton Rick and How Not Too collided soon after the start.  Keep It Black and Invictus Rising collided soon after the start.  How Not Too and Keep It Black collided approaching the first turn.  Riccarton Rick contacted the running rail on the first turn.  Providence Bale, Invictus Rising and Hazey Roy collided on the first turn.  Riccarton Rick checked off the heels of Keep It Black on the second turn.  Providence Bale and Immunity collided on the home turn.

Riccarton Rick underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Hazey Roy underwent a post-race veterinary examination following a fall after the finish line. No apparent injury was reported.

Dusty Lyn was quick to begin.  Zylon Bale was slow to begin.

Peaky Pub and Zylon Bale collided soon after the start.  Yohan Bale, Blue Tiger and Invictus Jaxson collided soon after the start checking Invictus Jaxson.  Zylon Bale and Yohan Bale collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Peaky Pub, causing Peaky Pub to race wide.  Zylon Bale and Yohan Bale collided on the second turn checking Zylon Bale.

Sierra Foxtrot, You Ember and Crackerjack Ads collided soon after the start checking Crackerjack Ads.  Bop Bop, Sierra Foxtrot and You Ember collided approaching the first turn checking You Ember.  Trending Rookie and Fernando's Quest collided on the first turn.  Fernando's Quest and Sierra Foxtrot collided on the second turn checking Sierra Foxtrot and You Ember.  Trending Rookie and Waldemar Bale collided in the home straight.

Vayda Bale was quick to begin.  Broadway Benny and Callum's Capers were slow to begin.

Vayda Bale crossed in soon after the start checking Funambulist, Kanji Giant, Fireweed and Do Good Davlin.  Funambulist, Kanji Giant and So Hazy collided on the first turn checking So Hazy.  Fireweed, Do Good Davlin, Broadway Benny and Callum's Capers collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds.  So Hazy checked off Do Good Davlin entering the home straight.

Busy Time – Late scratching at 2.20pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr John Burch was fined $100.00.

Following an inquiry, Trainer Mr John Burch was issued a charge pursuant to GAR86(q) in that he engaged in conduct detrimental to the image and control of greyhound racing. The particulars of the charge being that during kennelling today, Mr Burch used inappropriate language in response to the Stewards advising him of the weight variation scratching of his greyhound Busy Time. Mr Burch pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $150.00.

Destructive Riot and Rockstar Ruby were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.  Sir Harley, Walk Me Home and Hot Diesel collided approaching the first turn checking Walk Me Home.  Hot Diesel and Shima Punga collided on the first turn.  Hot Diesel checked off Shima Punga on the second turn and lost ground as a result.  Hot Diesel shifted out and raced wide on the third turn severely checking Walk Me Home.  Hot Diesel visibly eased approaching the home turn.

Hot Diesel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left shin soreness, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. David Plumridge regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Hot Diesel was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Plumridge pleaded guilty to the charge and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
