Steward's Report
Gee Dalton and Grand Mac collided on the first turn. Mighty Matilda checked off Gee Dalton on the first turn. Fran Keeping visibly eased on the first turn. Princess America, Spritely Star and Shaun John collided on the first turn. Spritely Star galloped on Shaun John on the home turn severely checking Spritely Star. Princess America and Shaun John collided entering the home straight.
Fran Keeping underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left triangle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Gordon Edwards, the trainer of Fran Keeping regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Fran Keeping was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Edwards pleaded not guilty to the charge, Fran Keeping was found guilty and suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
