Handsome Rhino and Aston Rupee collided soon after the start. Jax Bale, Aston Rupee, Handsome Rhino, Indy Matilda and Mahogany Jet collided in the front straight checking Aston Rupee and Handsome Rhino, severely checking Mahogany Jet and Indy Matilda. Special Talent and Jax Bale collided on the first turn checking Jax Bale.
Handsome Rhino was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a ligament injury to a toe on the left fore leg, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
