Trendy Touchdown, Weblec Gem and Al's Draw Four collided soon after the start, checking Trendy Touchdown and Weblec Gem. Al's Draw Four clipped the heels of Fabriola Zero approaching the first turn, checking Al's Draw Four and Oberon Bale. Al's Draw Four stumbled as a result. Tinker Craig was slow to begin.

Untapped crossed to the running rail on the first turn, checking Drumroll Please, Major Giblet, Bounce Back and Tinker Craig. Drumroll Please faltered entering the back straight and was tailed off as a result. Suntory Rose checked off Mr. Speaker in the home straight. 

Drumroll Please underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Following the completion of the race, Stewards walked the track and deemed it suitable for racing.

Trendy Universe and Indy Juno collided soon after the start. Trendy Universe, Indy Juno and Shaka Big Tonks collided approaching the first turn.Shaka Big Tonks and Negasi Bale collided approaching the first turn, checking Negasi Bale. Shaka Big Tonks checked off Tynslee Bale on the first turn. Let's Send It and Trending Air collided approaching the home turn.

Nifty Nangar was slow to begin. 

Hold On and Ask For More collided soon after the start. Ask For More and Selynya Teddy collided several times on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Ask For More, Nifty Nangar and Hold On collided in the back straight, checking Ask For More, Hold On and Dusty Lyn. Dusty Lyn and Hold On collided on the home turn. Weblec Mist was slow to begin. 

Ranako Bale, Princess Barcia and Tinker Crest collided approaching the first turn, checking Tinker Crest and Gazer's Lane, severely checking I'm A Soldier.

I'm A Soldier underwent a post-race veterinary examination and displayed  moderate thumps. No stand down period was imposed.
