Essential persons (both staff and participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings, wore face masks, observed social distance requirements and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Billie's Gift and Fancy Lily were quick to begin. Raptor went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.

Nana Jill and My Envy collided soon after the start. Round The Twist turned its head outwards soon after the start. Billie's Gift crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Round The Twist. Nana Jill and Raptor collided approaching the first turn. Round The Twist shifted out on the first turn and collided with Nana Jill and Raptor; severely checking Round The Twist and Raptor, Nana Jill fell as a result. Round The Twist turned its head outwards towards the fallen greyhound and visibly eased on the first turn. Fancy Lily chekced off Burn Bella Burn entering the home straight.

Nana Jill underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right humerus fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Round The Twist underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right thigh injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer, Kenneth Howat regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Round The Twist was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Howat pleaded guilty to the charge, Round The Twist was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Just One Moment was quick to begin. Hot Tzarina was slow to begin.

Weblec Star and Val Ali collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Hot Tzarina checked off Arby's Lucy on the second turn and subsequently lost ground and tailed off. Just One Moment and Val Ali collided on the home turn and again approaching the winning post.

Hot Tzarina underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mrs Paula Boots, the representative of Hot Tzarina regarding the greyhound's performance in this event. Mrs Boots stated that Hot Tzarina has stepped up in distance and that the Trainer, Mr Daniel Boots, has been trialling the greyhound over this distance. Mrs Boots also stated that the greyhound will be returned to the owner following this run.

Lonely Lisa, Suntory Lass and Halberd Bale collided several times from soon after the start to approaching the first turn, checking Lonely Lisa. So Hazy, Suntory Lass and Halberd Bale collided on the first turn checking Suntory Lass and Halberd Bale. Suntory Lass and Halberd Bale collided entering the back straight checking both greyhounds. Suntory Lass checked off Halberd Bale on the home turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Lonely Lisa - unplaced in the event.

A sample was taken from Disco Riot upon arrival at the course.

Mepunga Warrior was quick to begin.

Nicmac Paddywack and Disco Riot collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.

A post-race sample was taken from Mepunga Warrior - the winner of the event.

Neymar Junior – Late scratching at 7:29pm (3/8/2021) when Mr Jason Sharp reported the greyhound to have a fibula injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Peaky Pub was quick to begin.

Crispy Duck and Plan Ahead collided approaching the first turn. Pacific Lass brushed the running rail on the first turn. Crispy Duck and Plan Ahead collided on the second turn.

Pacific Lass underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Sweet Petit was quick to begin. Wedding Or Baby and Entranced were slow to begin.

Wedding Or Baby crossed to the inside soon after the start. Berkel Boy and Wedding Or Baby collided approaching the first turn checking Berkel Boy.

Al's Vixen was quick to begin. Sudoku Cobra and Tron were slow to begin.

Al's Vixen and Weblec Whirl collided approaching the first turn. Who Cry Now and Golden Avatar collided approaching the first turn. Sudoku Cobra shifted out on the first turn checking Who Cry Now. Sudoku Cobra and Tron collided on the home turn.

Invictus Rising and Busy Time were quick to begin. Full Moon Party was slow to begin.

Target Master and Invictus Rising collided soon after the start. Target Master, Invictus Rising, Sharni's My Girl and Busy Time collided on the first turn checking Target Master and Invictus Rising and severely checking Sharni's My Girl. Invictus Rising and Call Me Chloe collided on the second turn checking Call Me Chloe. Target Master and Full Moon Party collided in the back straight.

A post-race sample was taken from Busy Time - the winner of the event. 

Stewards received reports of a verbal altercation between registered participants following the running of this event. Stewards opened an inquiry and after hearing evidence from Mr. L. Smith & Mr. J. Burch, Stewards decided to issue both participants involved with a warning for misconduct pursuant to GAR 86(o).
