Mr. C. Armstrong failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Oddball Armo for racing.  A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 46 (2).

High Eden Freddy was quick to begin. Oddball Armo, Blackpool Homer and Ferocious Pedro were slow to begin.

Way Up North was quick to begin. 

Snow Onyx and Pacific Express collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds.  Boom Buster and Duck Duck Dash collided on the first turn, checking Boom Buster.  Boom Buster and Cawbourne Cheeky collided approaching the home turn. 

Snow Onyx underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Trainer Mr I. Robinson was issued a warning for his negligence pursuant to GAR 86(o) in that he presented Pyrenees Pegasus to race wearing the incorrect numbered rug. 

Orson Emmy was slow to begin.  Fancy Trance and Pyrenees Pegasus collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds.  Maddingley Magic and Shadow Ace collided in the back straight, checking Maddingley Magic.  Pyrenees Pegasus and Fancy Trance collided on the first turn, checking Pyrenees Pegasus. Nifty Nangar and Fernando Bella collided approaching the home turn.  Shadow Ace and Fernando Bella collided on the home turn causing Acacia Dream to race wide. Shadow Ace turned it's head outwards entering the home straight and collided with Fernando Bella, checking both greyhounds.  

Shadow Ace underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Trainer Mr P. Crawley declined to have the greyhound re-vetted. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr P. Crawley regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Shadow Ace was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr P. Crawley pleaded guilty to the charge, Shadow Ace was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Percy's Princess and Roxy Smirnoff were quick to begin.  Lala Hibiscus and Zipping Damsel were slow to begin. 

Tsar Bale and Gypsy Andy collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds.  Gypsy Andy, Tsar Bale and Lala Hibiscus collided approaching the home turn.  Birdbrook and Zipping Damsel collided approaching the home turn, checking Birdbrook and Roxy Smirnoff.
