Boes Rose was slow to begin.
My Era Rico and King Kaboom collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds causing My Era Rico to brush the running rail. King Kaboom brushed the running rail on the first turn. Boes Rose checked off Big Bella on the first turn causing Boes Rose to race wide. My Era Rico and Big Bella collided approaching the home turn checking Big Bella.
Why Not Opal underwent a post-race veterinary examination due to an incident after the winning post. Why Not Opal was found to have abrasions to the left hind foot and left stopper. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Just In Time - the winner of the event.
