Steward's Report
Harper's Girl – Late scratching at 8.17am when trainer, Mr R. Bean reported the greyhound to have an illness. (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Pre-race samples were taken from So Predictable and Ulricken Bale.
Low Blow and So predictable were slow to begin.
Ulricken Bale checked off Assassinate on the first turn. Crackerjack Dirt, Don't Argue Love and Sunnyside Pride raced wide on the first turn. Ulricken Bale and Assassinate collided on the third turn checking both greyhounds.
Ulricken Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the front right foot. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Daniel Gibbons regarding the racing manners on the third turn. After hearing evidence from Mr. Gibbons, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.
