Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Not Delivered.
Coyote Ugly went up with the lids and was very slow to begin (4L). The Stewards inspected the boxes being giving the all-clear on the judges numbers.
Indigo Indy checked off Not Delivered on the first turn checking Cracked Soda and Select Pattern. My Rocky crossed to the outside and turned it's head outwards approaching the home turn checking Lunaray. My Rocky checked off Lunaray on the home turn causing My Rocky to contact the outside fence.
My Rocky underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left and right fore and hind paws and a spike wound to the left elbow. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Mr. Jeff Abela regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), My Rocky was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Abela pleaded guilty to the charge, My Rocky was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
