Fire Witch – Late scratching at 17:50 on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a left monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from Shima Bolt.
Aston Sonic, Shima Bolt and Roxy Ouzo were slow to begin. Cornhill Tiger and Shima Bolt collided on the first turn. Cornhill Tiger and Shima Bolt collided on the second turn checking Cornhill Tiger. Aston Sonic and All Inn Abby collided approaching the home turn checking All Inn Abby. Shima Bolt galloped on the heels of All Inn Abby approaching the home turn. Cornhill Tiger and Rebel Riot raced wide in the home straight.
