Steward's Report
Filorga Bale was slow to begin.
American Star and Coyote Ugly collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Divine Dixie and Go Twenty Two collided on the first turn severely checking Divine Dixie. Divine Dixie and American Star collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Garage Sale, Lilly Patch and Filorga Bale collided on the home turn. Filorga Bale turned its head inward and marred Lilly Patch in the home straight. Filorga Bale and Lilly Patch collided several times in the home straight.
Filorga Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left groin injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Neville Bischard, the trainer of Filorga Bale regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Filorga Bale was charged with marring. Mr Bischard pleaded guilty to the charge, Filorga Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
