Cool Whip was a late scratching at 8:06am by order of Stewards after it was established that the incorrect greyhound had been presented. At a subsequent inquiry, the Stewards fined Mr Peter Trim $250 for a breach of GAR 31 for failing to present the correct greyhound for this event. The 28 days stand-down on Cool Whip was revoked.

Stewards spoke to Mr Brian Petty, the trainer of Campaspe Wilson regarding the greyhound’s racing manners soon after the start.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Campaspe Wilson was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr B. Petty pleaded guilty to the charge, Campaspe Wilson was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

My Wanderer and Killer Miss were slow to begin.

Alabama Cruise was very slow to begin 3 lengths.
