In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 29.6 degrees and the kennel temperature was 16.6 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy. 

Eau De Vie and Dundee Astra were quick to begin and collided soon after the start, checking Dundee Astra. Eau De Vie and Lavish Diamond collided on the first turn. Captain Turbot checked off Lavish Diamond on the first turn and collided with Dundee Astra, causing both greyhounds to race wide. 

A post-race sample was taken from Eau De Vie - the winner of the event.

Ready To Slide and Brief Hello were slow to begin. Knocka Out and Callum's Caper's were very slow to begin (3 lengths). Ready To Slide shifted out soon after the start checking Knocka Out. Brief Hello checked off Star Hawk soon after the start. Blue Yaala and Star Hawk collided on the first turn. Ready To Slide and Brief Hello collided on the first turn causing Callum's Capers to race wide. Eilish's Dream and Callum's Capers collided on the home turn. Brief Hello raced wide on the home turn. Star Hawk checked off Blue Yaala entering the home straight. Ready To Slide galloped on Eilish's Dream approaching the winning post. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Explosive Yaala.

Alecia was slow to begin. Betty Spolly checked off Explosive Yaala soon after the start. Elude checked off Lee Will approaching the first turn. Lee Will and Explosive Yaala collided several times in the home straight. 

Aston Resort and Neo Cleo Us were quick to begin. Aston Glow and Neo Cleo Us collided approaching the first turn. All To Mac checked off Neo Cleo Us on the first turn. Fine Edition turned its head inwards and marred Aston Resort in the home straight. All To Mac raced wide in the home straight. 

Fine Edition underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Ms Kate Gorman regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Fine Edition was charged with marring. Ms Gorman pleaded guilty to the charge; Fine Edition was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Fidelia was slow to begin. Between Jobs and Jane Way collided soon after the start. Jordy's Express, Klopp and Fidelia collided approaching the first turn checking Fidelia. Between Jobs checked off Jane Way on the first turn. Fidelia and Zipping Gypsy collided on the first turn. Zipping Gyspy galloped on Klopp on the first turn, checking Klopp and She's Something and causing Zipping Gypsy to fall. Jordy's Express and Fidelia collided in the home straight. 

Zipping Gypsy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right deltoid muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Kayden's Tiger.

Prince Jed was slow to begin and stumbled soon after the start. Kayden's Tiger, Little Yaala and Kraken Thunder collided soon after the start checking Little Yaala. Kayden's Tiger, Kraken Thunder and Go The Doves collided soon after the start, checking Prince Jed and Go The Doves and severely checking Kraken Thunder. Prince Jed checked off Go The Doves on the first turn. Kayden's Tiger checked off Magnetic Steff on the first turn. 

A post-race sample was taken from Hugo - the winner of the event. 

Adonis Sands - New declared weight of 33.1 kgs, last raced at 31.8 kgs.

Reiko Bolt was slow to begin. Reiko Bolt checked off Rainbow Wish soon after the start. Shaun John and Pontiac Moon collided approaching the first turn. Adonis Sands crossed to the rails on the first turn checking Foxzami Raptor and Miss Demonica and severely checking Pontiac Moon and Mini Yaala. Pontiac Moon and Mini Yaala collided approaching the home turn. Adonis Sands and Reiko Bolt collided on the home turn causing Adonis Sands to collide with Foxzami Raptor, checking Adonis Sands.

Sticker Stinger and Freddy Reiko collided soon after the start checking Freddy Reiko. Freddy Reiko clipped the heels of Punk Lass Rocks approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Sticker Stinger checked off Prime Time approaching the home turn.

 Boes Bounty underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the trainer and was found to have a left triangle muscle injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. 

Galiena Bale and Plain And Simple were quick to begin. Shen Bree Girl, Black Jack Tea and Gout Ralph collided soon after the start checking Black Jack Tea and Gout Ralph; Black Jack Tea stumbled. Shen Bree Girl, Red Nangana and Coalville Chief collided approaching the first turn checking Shen Bree Girl and Red Nangana. Galiena Bale and Plain And Simple collided on the first turn. Coalville Chief checked off Spongebob on the first turn and collided with Black Jack Tea. Shen Bree Girl galloped on Coalville Chief approaching the home turn checking Shen Bree Girl, Coalville Chief and Gout Ralph. Galiena Bale and Spongebob collided on the home turn. Spongebob galloped on Galiena Bale on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Coalville Chief and Spongebob collided on the home turn. Galiena Bale and Coalville Chief collided entering the home straight. 

Spongebob underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left calf muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Free Kick Hawks was quick to begin. Belt Up Dusty and Break The Chains were slow to begin. Witchie's Gas and Star Gem collided soon after the start. Star Gem checked off Free Kick Hawks approaching the first turn and collided with Witchie's Gas, checking Witchie's Gas, So Joe Mac and Break The Chains. Witchie's Gas and So Joe Mac collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. Star Gem raced wide in the home straight. So Joe Mac checked off Free Kick Hawks approaching the winning post. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Livvy's Princess

Victa Libby was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Pennine Way faltered on the first turn and subsequently tailed off. Tinker Cindy faltered approaching the home turn checking Livvy's Princess and Fly To Victory; Tinker Cindy subsequently tailed off. Victa Libby lost ground from approaching the home turn and raced wide in the home straight; Victa Libby tailed off.  

Victa Libby underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a  left thigh muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Miss Ellisa Franklin regarding its performance in this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Victa Libby must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Tinker Cindy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed. 

Pennine Way underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right groin muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr John Musselwhite regarding the greyhounds performance. In accordance with GAR 75 (1), the Stewards requested Mr Musselwhite to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Pennine Way in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event. 

Avenger Spolly was slow to begin. Fast Talker, Jordanville Jet and Yaala Eclipse collided soon after the start checking Jordanville Jet. Fast Talker and Yaala Eclipse collided approaching the first turn checking Fast Talker. Yaala Eclipse and Almapa Gallucci collided on the first turn checking Yaala Eclipse, Almapa Gallucci and Fast Talker. Jordanville Jet and Avenger Spolly collided on the home turn and raced wide. Architecture turned its head outwards and collided with Jordanville Jet and Avenger Spolly on the home turn, checking Jordanville Jet. 

Architecture underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Mr Max Cameron regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Architecture was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Cameron pleaded guilty to the charge, Architecture was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Jordanville Jet underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to both deltoid muscles. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
