A sample was taken from Greysynd Spectre upon arrival at the course.
Why Not Rose – Late scratching at 13:42 due to the greyhound not being presented (non–arrival) (GAR 31). Due to the circumstances surrounding the non–presentation trainer, Mr Gregory Carter was fined $250.
Henessey Venom - New declared weight of 32.1kgs, last raced at 31.0kgs.
A pre-race sample was taken from Mystic Faith.
Mystic Faith stumbled and was very slow to begin, 5 lengths.
Henessey Venom and Sacred Path collided soon after the start checking Henessey Venom which faltered and tailed off as a result. My Girl Mel and Greysynd Spectre collided approaching the home turn. Sacred Bear and Shanlyn Bear collided on the home turn. Mystic Faith and My Girl Mel collided in the home straight.
Henessey Venom underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right triangle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
There was no head-on vision available for this race.
