Steward's Report
Dewana Jayden, Jimmy Goes Bang and Another Avatar collided soon after the start checking Dewana Jayden. Maggie Pie and Right Above It collided on the first turn. Jimmy Goes Bang and Sweet Harriet collided on the first turn. Jimmy Goes bang and Maggie Pie collided on the home turn checking Maggie Pie. Maggie Pie clipped the heels of Sweet Harriet entering the home straight.
Dewana Jayden underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left fore and right hind limbs and right shoulder. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms R.Dudley, the trainer of Jimmy Goes Bang regarding the greyhound initially being placed in the incorrect starting box before being relocated into the correct starting box. Acting under GAR 86(o), the Stewards issued a warning to Ms Dudley for placing Jimmy Goes Bang in the incorrect box during the boxing process, which was considered negligence.
