Fernando's Pride checked off She's Co Cute approaching the first turn severely checking Fernando's Pride. She's So Cute, Zen Ablaze, Aqua Vite and Don't Know Jake collided on the first turn. Pacific Barcia raced wide and lost ground on the first turn. Don't Know Jake checked off She's So Cute approaching the home turn checking Don't Know Jake.
Pacific Barcia underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left a left hind toe injury and a spike wound to the left hind toe. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
