The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday 10 November 2020. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Zoom Fly Three was slow to begin.

Walk On Betty galloped on Gizmo Osti on the first turn checking Impress Venus and Yolanda; severely checking Walk On Betty and Amy's Alone which fell as a result.  Slingshot brushed the running rail on the home turn.  Zoom Fly Three and Gizmo Osti collided entering the home straight. 

Walk On Betty underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the mid back and right hamstrings.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Amy's Alone underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wounds to the right and left hind paws.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Star Magic upon arrival at the course.

Stanley Boy was quick to begin.  Paetta Bale was slow to begin.

Dottrel crossed to the outside approaching the first turn and collided with Armstrong Bobby checking Armstrong Bobby and severely checking Dottrel.  Stanley Boy checked off Caribbean Queen on the first turn.  Caribbean Queen brushed the running rail on the first turn.  Paetta Bale and Armstrong Bobby collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Dottrel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right shoulder and the right back muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Rajah was quick to begin.  Knocka Out was slow to begin.

In My Pocket checked off Boes Bambino approaching the first turn.  Rajah and Dewana Lynda collided approaching the first turn.  In My Pocket crossed to the inside on the first turn checking Jordy's Express.  Jordy's Express, Luigi Bale and Knocka Out collided approaching the home turn checking all three greyhounds; Luigi Bale and Knocka Out to race wide as a result.  Dewana Lynda and In My Pocket collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.  Jordy's Express and Boes Bambino collided approaching the winning post.  

Rajah underwent a post-race veterinary examination after an incident in the catching pen - no apparent injury was reported.

Wow Anna – New declared weight of 29.6kg, last raced at 27.9kg.

Edge Serena was quick to begin.  Blue Tick Erin was slow to begin.

Casanova Man and Rev The Jockey collided soon after the start.  Casanova Man and Warrior Armo collide approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Blue Tick Erin raced wide approaching the home turn.  Wow Anna raced wide on the home turn.  Blue Tick Erin raced wide in the home straight.

Warrior Armo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Aladdin Prince and Ebonique were quick to begin.  Elegant Malt was slow to begin.

Almapa Gallucci and Koh Lipe collided approaching the first turn.  Almapa Gallucci galloped on Koh Lipe on the home turn checking Almapa Gallucci, severely checking Lady Elegance and Elegant Malt.  Rusty Nail raced wide entering the home straight.

Aston Verve – Late scratching at 1:35pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr Jordan Formosa was fined $100.

Red Hot Chance was slow to begin.

Mindful Reality and Raquea's Dream collided approaching the first turn checking Raquea's Dream which stumbled and lost ground.  Midnight Breeze checked off Red Hot Chance approaching the home turn.

The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Jitterbug Witch with trainer J.Formosa and noted their comments.

Too Much Talking was quick to begin.

Architecture and Jitterbug Witch collided soon after the start checking Jitterbug.  Kimani and More Wit collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn.  Maximum Jodie galloped on Too Much Talking in the home straight checking both greyhounds.  Kimani turned its head outwards in the home straight.

Jitterbug Witch underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Fairytale Ending underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Kiami underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mrs Jeanette Imlach regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Kimani was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mrs Imlach pleaded guilty to the charge, Kimani was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) (a) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Lektra Swing and Feel The Thunder were slow to begin.

Brother Griff and Southern Edge collided soon after the start.  Southern Edge, Lektra Swing and Feel The Thunder collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Knuckles, Brother Griff and Fenway Lights collided approaching the home turn checking all three greyhounds.  Fenway Lights checked off Shaun John entering the home straight.

Feel The Thunder underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainers request and was found to have right deltoid muscle injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race blood sample was taken from Shaun John - the winner of the event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Between Jobs.

Between Jobs, Empire Lad and Devon Shadow were slow to begin.  

Honey Double One crossed in soon after the start checking Go The Doves and Between Jobs.  Hyena Queen and Between Jobs collided approaching the first turn checking Hyena Queen and Devon Shadow.  Between Jobs and Go The Doves collided several times on the first turn, approaching the second turn and on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Between Jobs checked off Go The Doves on the third turn.

My Dark Rose was quick to begin.  Zumi's Swagger was slow to begin.

Laxman and Free Kick Hawks collided approaching the first turn checking Free Kicks Hawk.  Laxman and Irwin Bale collided approaching the home turn.

Laxman underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Where's The Rum was quick to begin.

Marshall Dillon and Cute Patootie collided approaching the first turn.  Flojo Mikado and Marshall Dillon collided on the first turn.
