Steward's Report
Out of competition samples were taken from Kuta Cowboy and Montaro on 9 December 2020 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Marshall Dillon – Late scratching at 2:16pm due to non–arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Mr Chris Constantinou informed Stewards that he had a vehicle breakdown on–route to the track. Stewards advised Mr Constantinou that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 48 hours of the occurrence that caused the non–arrival. The matter will be re–evaluated upon receipt of this evidence.
The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Casanova Man with trainer Mr. Malcolm Carr and noted their comments.
A pre-race sample was taken from Full Of Talk.
Between Jobs was slow to begin.
Casanova Man and Go The Doves collided approaching the first turn checking Casanova Man. Montaro and Go The Doves collided on the first turn.
Casanova Man underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Supplementary Report - 11/12/2020: The 28 day stand down was removed from Marshall Dillon following the production of a vehicle break down to the satisfaction of the Stewards.
