A pre-race sample was taken from Our Brinni.
Our Brinni was quick to begin. Husky Flyer was slow to begin.
King Brown, See Nitro and Husky Flyer collided approaching the first turn; checking See Nitro, Buy The Dip and Husky Flyer. Irina Bale and Firefly Star collided approaching the first turn. Irina Bale faltered approaching the home turn and tailed off. See Nitro and Husky Flyer collided on the home turn.
Irina Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg fibia fracture. Irina Bale was humanely euthanased.
Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track and were satisfied it was satisfactory for racing.
