The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday, 10 November 2020.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5 m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Wee Fishin' was slow to begin.  Two Mac's Bang was very slow to begin (4L).

Blazing Zara and She's So Cute collided soon after the start.  She's So Cute and Millie's Wonder collided approaching the first turn.  She's So Cute eased and turned it's head outwards on the first turn and collided with Millie's Wonder; resulting in Millie's Wonder and Blazing Zara being checked.  She's So Cute checked off the heels of Ribbons approaching the home turn, checking Blazing Zara.  Blazing Zara checked off She's So Cute on the home turn.  She's So Cute and Millie's Wonder collided several times in the home straight.

She's So Cute underwent a post-race veterinary examination, Mr C Smith, handler of She's So Cute, declined a re-vet of the greyhound - no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Mr C Smith, the handler of She's So Cute, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) She's So Cute was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr Smith pleaded guilty to the charge, She's So Cute was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Horsham and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from Two Mac's Bang - the winner of the event.

Cullquin Vincent and Pat May Joy were slow to begin.

Flame Child and Masalki collided approaching the first turn.  Masalki checked off Bermuda on the first turn, checking Pat May Joy.  Masalki raced wide on the home turn and collided with Cullquin Vincent.

A pre-race sample was taken from Giant's Flash.

The start of the event was delayed by two minutes, due to holding for a Cambridge (NZL) harness race.

Giant's Flash was slow to begin.

Zulu Duchess checked off Crackerjack Ads soon after the start.  Amber Bridget and Ernie All Sorts collided approaching the first turn; checking Amber Bridget and Giant's Flash.  Zulu Duchess and Crackerjack Ads collided on the first turn, severely checking Crackerjack Ads.  Giant's Flash checked off Amber Bridget on the first turn.  Giant's Flash and Amber Bridget collided in the home straight.  Giant's Flash, Amber Bridget, Zulu Duchess and Ernie All Sorts collided approaching the winning post, checking Zulu Duchess.

Aston Current and Alabama Anna collided soon after the start, checking Alabama Anna.  King Crow and Aston Current collided several times on the first turn.  I'm A Burner and Alabama Anna collided on the first turn.  King Crow, Black Phoenix and Aston Current collided approaching the home turn; checking King Crow and Aston Current.

Aston Current underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury.

Irina Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg fibia fracture.  Irina Bale was humanely euthanased.

Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track and were satisfied it was satisfactory for racing.

Barefoot Barry – New declared weight of 33.4 kg, last raced at 32.2 kg.

Aston Valkyrie and Oriental Jade were quick to begin.  Barefoot Barry and Oriental Amber were slow to begin.

Foreman, Barefoot Barry and Oriental Amber collided soon after the start.  Jabba Bolt checked off Aston Valkyrie on the first turn.  Foreman checked off Barefoot Barry approaching the home turn and collided with Jabba Bolt.

A post-race sample was taken from Bulleteer - the winner of the event.

Especial Envy and Especial One – Late scratchings at 11:00 am due to non–arrival (GAR 31).  Ms E Knott informed Stewards that she had a vehicle breakdown en-route to the track.  A receipt of evidence for the breakdown was produced to Stewards, no penalties were imposed.

Colden Brookie was slow to begin.

Invictus Caleb, Muttley and Nitro Gee collided soon after the start, checking Nitro Gee.  Invictus Caleb, Muttley, Glory Fire and Colden Brookie collided on the first turn, checking Muttley.  Invictus Caleb and Glory Fire collided on the home turn.

No Payer, Serene Machine and Swift Brittany collided soon after the start, checking Serene Machine.  No Payer and Swift Brittany collided approaching the first turn.  Swift Brittany and Crown Knox collided on the first turn.  Crackerjack Suni and Golden Kruger collided approaching the home turn.  No Payer checked off Crackerjack Suni on the home turn.  No Payer and Swift Brittany collided entering the home straight.  No Payer and Crown Knox collided approaching the winning post.

Sharnee Rose was slow to begin.

Cullquin Marcel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg wrist injury.  A seven day stand down period was imposed.
