Steward's Report
All Staff & Participants attending the race-meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the Kennel Block and Associated Buildings and when engaged in the exclusive race-day functions of handling, boxing, starting & catching greyhounds.
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 23.0 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.5 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
Global Surprise - New declared weight of 27.3kgs, last raced at 26.0kgs.
Global Surprise and Aston Peso were slow to begin.
Patons Road, Jay For Jack and Two Up Tommy collided soon after the start checking Jay For Jack and Two Up Tommy. Jay For Jack, Two Up Tommy, Global Surprise and Aston Peso collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds. Patons Road galloped on the heels of Got A Repair on the home turn checking Aston Dijon. Patons Road and Got A Repair collided entering the home straight and several times in the home straight.
