Steward's Report
Mr. Peter Grice failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Zipping Kay for racing. A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 46 (2).
Free Kick Hawks, Zipping Kay and Montaro collided soon after the start severely checking Zipping Kay causing Zipping Kay to fall. Bomber's Queen and Mister Wingard collided approaching the first turn. Mister Wingard checked off Kai Valley Rocks on the first turn checking Mister Wingard. Busy Izzy raced wide in the home straight.
Zipping Kay underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
A post-race sample was taken from Kanga Lights - winner of the event.
