Flossy Jo and Polite Reply collided approaching the home turn. Italia Bella checked off Flossy Jo entering the home straight. Fly To Victory raced wide in the home straight.
Montaro underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained a right monkey muscle injury. A 10 day standdown period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Meade, trainer of Montaro, and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.
