Mepunga Isla and Dim Sim were slow to begin. Rockstar Gately, Taken and Tiberia Bale collided several times from soon after the start to approaching the first turn. Rockstar Gately, Taken and Mepunga Isla collided on the first turn checking Taken and Mepunga Isla causing both greyhounds to race wide. Taken and Mepunga Isla collided continuously from the second turn to the home turn. Dim Sim checked off Tiberia Bale in the back straight. Rockstar Gately and Dim Sim collided on the home turn. Dim Sim checked off Locked In in the home straight.
