A sample was taken from Plain Name upon arrival at the course.
A pre-race sample was taken from Not Delivered.
Tinker Luke and Cullquin Freya collided on the first turn. Lancashire and Not Delivered collided on the first turn. Cullquin Freya and Not Delivered collided on the second turn. Tinker Luke visibly eased and turned it's head outwards and collided with Strategic approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Lancashire, Tinker Luke and Strategic collided on the home turn. Strategic and Saintly Rose raced wide in the home straight.
Tinker Luke underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind toe. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Tabb, the handler of Tinker Luke regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Tinker Luke was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Tabb pleaded guilty to the charge, Tinker Luke was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
