Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Filorga Bale.
Springvale Misty was checked off Awesome Asset soon after the start. Kernel Panic and Born A Guru collided on the first turn. Lil Gus galloped on Jimmy Goes Bang entering the home straight. Filorga Bale and Awesome Asset collided in the home straight. Filorga Bale visibly eased approaching the winning post.
Filorga Bale underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion on the left dew claw and a spike wound on the right metatarsal. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Smoor the trainer of Filorga Bale regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Filorga Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Smoor pleaded guilty to the charge, Filorga Bale is suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
