He Shall Power and Financial Tarra were slow to begin.
Lump Sum and He Shall Power collided on the first turn. Lump Sum and Financial Tarra collided on the second turn; causing Lump Sum to lose ground. Lot Coin Babe and Ellias Bale collided in the front straight.
Lump Sum underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left foreleg shin soreness, right foreleg monkey muscle and right hindleg triangle injuries. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
