Steward's Report
Dream Of Me, Ronny Mac, Mercury Icon, Rev Up Axel and King Crow collided soon after the start; checking Ronny Mac, Mercury Icon and Rev Up Axel. Rev Up Axel checked off Pyrenees Pegasus on the first turn. Mercury Icon raced wide approaching the home turn. Pyrenees Pegasus and Ronny Mac collided on the home turn.
Due to a technical malfunction with the TAB the Semaphore Board inadvertently displayed Race 1 for this event.
Stewards noted that licensed handler, Mrs H Robinson incorrectly placed greyhound, Rona Express in Box 2 instead of its drawn Box No 3. The correction was made prior to the running of the event. Stewards withheld the All Clear to view the official video footage to ensure that the greyhounds in the front row had not been disadvantaged by the delay in changeover. Stewards were of the opinion that the front row had not been disadvantaged and All Clear was given on the placings 8-3-4-1. Stewards spoke to Mrs Robinson in relation to the matter and after considering all the evidence, fined Mrs Robinson the sum of $200 for negligence pursuant to GAR86(o). Stewards also spoke to the Club Starter and reminded him of his responsibilities to ensure that greyhounds are placed in the correct starting boxes at all times.
